Requiem For A Dream (2000) - 8/10
This is basically Trainspotting without the humour and the happy ending. It takes you a few days after seeing this to appreciate how good it is, because right after you've watched it you'll be pretty fucking depressed about the whole thing. Some of the filming techniques used in this are spectacular.
Requiem For A Dream (2000) - 9/10
Brilliant movie, dark film, fucking yes, I personally wanted to get right on it after seeing this film. It has an ultimate message about how addiction of all things can dominate lives, the finishing 10 minutes is an amazing spine tingling sequence that really shook me up and delvered the final message like a boot up the arse. Darren Aronofsky is a talented director, i've enjoyed everything he's ever done.
Requiem For A Dream (2000) - 7/10
Another movie that will have your head spinning, funny in parts but nothing makes up for the overall sense of despair. Without doubt the director enjoyed his drugs at some point, a true rollercoaster ride. Painfull to watch in parts, mainly to do with the downfall of the mother but illistrates the damage drugs can cause.
