Everything Everywhere All At Once (2022) - 3/10
I have looked forward to this film for months, ever since I read the synopsis, as it sounded very much like my sort of jam. Sadly, I had to turn it off, as it wasn't really my jam at all. In fact, I'm not sure it was even jam; more a marmalade, or one of them mad sugary spreads the kid like nowadays. You know the ones where the packaging looks good but there's just too much going on in the spread itself? Someone has somehow tried to cross The Matrix crossed with Scott Pilgrim, and this absolute mess has resulted. The main problem for me is that I expected a serious film and this is far from fucking serious. So if you're going to give it a go, go in with that mindset from the get-go.
