The Pale Blue Eye (2022) - 3/10
I like Christian Bale and I like dark films, which this appeared from the trailer. Or what I've seen of the trailer. I watch as little of a trailer as possible nowadays because usually, watching the trailer, more often that not, ruins the film. Anyway, what I don't like is anything set in the olden days, wherby the olden days is anything more than about 10 years prior to my birth. Some - like the Revenant and The Nightingale - do it right, but a lot - with the outfits and the accents and the way of talking - do my head in. This was one of those and I lasted 20 minutes before I axed it for something else.
