The Menu (2022) - 6/10
I'm not one for fancy food. I did once take my wife to some fancy Michelin gaff in which we got a seven course meal with the accompanying wine, but the bill of nearly £300 nearly made me vomit it all back up in disgust. Anyway, right before watching this film I had scoffed a tray of kebab meat with salad, chips and a couple of slices of American Hot pizza, so you know, I was right in the mood for it. And you know what? It's entertaining. I mean, it's horrendously unlikely and abso-fucking-lutely would never happen in real life, but once you accept it for the entertainment it is, it's alright. And as someone who recently saw the new Avatar, I'm confident in saying also that Anya Taylor-Joy is probably the most attractive alien I've ever seen, and she nearly - nearly - passes as a human.
