Thirteen Lives (2022) - 6/10
If you ask any non-English person if they can you do any accents, I'm pretty sure 86% of them will, with their first attempt, try an English one. I generally spend very little time practicing accents as I'm too busy making up stats but English is defo one of my better ones. I mean, I am English, but my accent is quite regional, so international English, the posh one the Royal Family uses, is the one everyone defaults too. It's easy, for some reason. Just like the lives of the posh Tory pricks who speak it are easy. Anyway, I digress. This is a drama based on those Thai kids that got trapped in that cave that time. The story itself is quite remarkable; especially how they got the kids out of the cave in the end. It's still crazy to me that they even had the idea, nevermind that they pulled it off with such success. But also remarkable are the accents pulled off by both Colin Farrell and Viggo Mortensen who play the two middle-aged English fellas who ended up saving the day, whilst being far from fucking English. Although, as explained above, it's a piece of piss really, so I don't know why I've done so much copy about it. Well, I've done it now, and I have nothing else, so go fuck yourself.
