The Boondock Saints (1999) - 5/10
This is the film that first made me realise that Madonna is just Willem Dafoe in a wig, and once you see it, you'll know what I mean. It represents the closest thing you can get to superheroes in real life, and whilst it's a good idea, I'm not too keen on the execution. Basically some Irish guys go around Boston killing anyone they consider evil, so in that sense it's just like the IRA's bombing campaign of the 70s and 80s, just with more gun-toting men in drag.
The Boondock Saints (1999) - 9/10
I had never heard of this until a girl in work lent me it. Its fucking brilliant. Everyone who has seen it agrees. Willem Defoe's bent FBI agent is his undoubtedly his finest hour. Go and watch it NOW.
