Awakenings (1990) - 6/10
We've all got a quiet, shy mate who rarely says anything unless he's gone halfs on a nifty of beak. Then he won't shut the fuck up. Well this film is a bit like that. Drugs really can do some good, but beware kids 'cause eventually they'll wear off and all you'll have left to look forward to is the crushing comedown and, occasionally, a severe case of locked-in syndrome.
