Arrival (2016) - 7/10
Alien ships land at various points all over the planet and yada yada yada. Yeah, you've heard this one before, haven't you? But wait! This film then follows the attempts to communicate with the aliens rather than how killy they are, which, as you can imagine, is difficult as fuck. So what do they do? Well they get a linguist in to help. But can she help? Can anyone make any sense of the alien mumbo jumbo? And if they do understand some of it - more importantly - how will it be interpreted?
