This is about mankind's obsession with getting to the moon, why we wanted to get there and why we stopped going. Putting men on the moon - and, more importantly, bringing them home - is the greatest achievement mankind has ever achieved. The Space Race changed the culture, boosted the economy, gave us a shared motivation, inspired inventors & demanded inventions, all which have dragged us into the future and served as a Great Leap Forward in terms of technology. So should we go back to the moon? Or Beyond? Can we afford to? Maybe the question we should be asking is, can we afford not to?
