In 1972 Gene Cernan was the last man to set foot on the moon. He talks about his childhood, his time in the navy, the space race, the early days of the Apollo program, the Apollo 1 fire and when he finally made it to the moon, the absolute silence that greeted him there. He also talks about some of the personal challenges that he faced as an individual, both in astronaut training and during the mission itself. There's also loads of great footage from the past including some of planes crashing into aircraft carriers which, you know, is cool as shit.
