All Quiet on the Western Front (2022) - 6/10
This is basically a German version of 1917, but not as good. I'm not entirely sure why they made it to be honest, as it's just a celebration of one time that they got their asses handed to them, in full feature-length HD. It's like me making a two hour film about my last particularly painful breakup, detailing all the crying and the pleading and the terribly, terribly sad wanking. It's almost like they knew there was a whole generation of voyeur English grandads who would get their rocks off to seeing young German men pleading for their mommies in their native tongue as they get bayoneted and gunned-down. And you know what? They're probably right.
