The Messenger (2009) - 7/10
This film, probably more than any other, details just how fucking brutal war is. A decorated solider becomes part of the Casualty Notification Team and has the task of informing next of kin when their loved one has died in combat. It's all the more potent when you realise that this happens on a daily basis; people hear a knock on their door and their lives are torn apart in an instant. Definately worth a watch.
