Do you know how sometimes if you read a word a lot then it doesn't look right, or it doesn't make sense? Of course you do, we've all been there. In fact, if you read this site regularly then you probably get it with words like 'shit' and 'fuck'. Well that is called semantic satiation, and is a cognitive response to repetition. I suffer this tremendously when it comes to horror films, because they're all so the same, with the same shit jumpy scare tricks and the same shite storylines.
